OK...I'm going to move my blog to Elsewhere, and not all of you are going to get the address =P At least not yet, until I manage to get some stuff done.
Reasons for the move: No time to write nice entries, and don't want to vet through my entries for content and language errors. Just want to blog somewhere where people won't judge me by my entries =) To my closer friends: I'll be telling you the url. Soon. Cheryl already knows.

Sec ones are infinitely interesting. Some of them are really nice..really like to talk to them =) There are some thats a bit...bossy, but I think they'll get better. I think 106 has gotten a lot more enthusiastic after the us psls did the 'real' funky chicken for them [the one the prefects demoed wasn't complete..they replaced geylang with hello kitty] And the sec ones on the whole were really loud during RI today..very encouraging.
I'm bad with names. Takes me about five times asking someone her name before I can remember it.
106 wasn't very enthusiastic about the stayover at first. That is, until they heard that the psls are going to dance to 'me against the music'. Actually the dance has been choreographed very well and the music's pretty nice to dance to. Only that I look fairly stupid =P It was hilarious when we were practicing the dance on tuesday..the grp 2 people were learning the grp 1 part and vice versa so we could learn the whole dance, and we were blasting the song really loudly in the foyer. When the 'hey Britney' part came on we sang loudly and off-key to it..I don't think any teachers noticed though. Miss Woon saw us practicing and commented about how 'graceful' we looked. She also complimented Britney Spears...we were quite surprised at that =S
A random point. 106 has KT as their PE, physics and CLE teacher. And the poor sec 1s were wondering why their PSLs suddenly went mad with laughter and shock when their form teacher announced the news.

Don't feel like going to school tomorrow. Never felt this bad ever since the stupid cold war last year.
Stupid misunderstanding+someone who didnt clarify and went to confide in others+people coming after me with accusations = a very disillusioned yinghan.

Alright, this is the long-overdue entry on boxing day.
Went out with yinqi, sien and char to watch rotk. [<333]Yinqi was advising me not to drink any water before watching it since the first time she watched it she did and had to go to the toilet during the movie, making her miss the frodo-sam gay scene. Then she decided to visit the toilet before the movie, and this time she missed the spiderman2 trailer. Poor yinqi was quite unhappy about it =P
Oh and I love rotk..really think it deserves the 5 stars a lot of reviewers gave it. I'm generally ok with the whole LOTR series, but the first 2 movies do get draggy quite a lot of times. ROTK..i didnt even realise that 3.5 hours passed.Yinqi and I were sitting together in between the two aragorn fans and we were happily annoying char and sien by grinning like madwomen whenever legolas appeared. Oh well. I liked the whole Sam/Rosie thing, its so sweet. Went to ff.net to check for Sam/Rosie fanfiction, and theres only 13 fics out of the 20000+ LOTR fanfics.
Random points to note. Most people named Sam seem to be real Nice Guys. [coughsamcoulsoncough] I'm sure su-mae will agree with me on that. And note the similarity in the ships..Sam/Josie, Sam/Rosie...
And after the movie we walked to Far East and charissa found herself in Marvel Heaven. Go see her blog..she found a lot of comics at cheap prices. I wanted to get another romance novel [=P] at first but then decided to go to kino to look for the NBK movie tie-in. Couldn't find it at Kino, but Si En and Yinqi persuaded me to go to the library to look. [forgive me i'm rambling]
Which is where I got really irritated..the computer system listed the NBK book as 'NOT ON LOAN' and i walked down nearly all the shelves and couldn't find it. Really disappointed..I felt like killing all those people who don't put library books back at their proper shelves after browsing. The least they could do was to drop the book at the place they always display the just-returned books..not shove the book under some other shelve where its not supposed to be at. Argh.
But at the library i found this sequel to Les Miserables, its called 'Cosette'. How interesting, it features an evil Marius [yes!], a disillusioned Cosette [lovely] and Cosette having some affair with a very Javert-like priest. And the books even has Hugo as one of the characters..
-ends narrative-. Sorry for the rant..i was bored. I'm in 313 next year, who else is in it? 314 and 315 looks like fun classes to be in =) 313 will probably be the furthest possible thing from 212...sigh.

I don't think anyone else watches 'For the sake of the republic' [zou4 xiang4 gong4 he2]. But just a warning: disc 19 [don't know what episode it is equivalent to] is obscene. Avoid it at all costs.
GB meeting tomorrow, and I'm going to faint. Don't think any of the other sec 2s will be coming--lingting and grace are definitely not, and I can't contact tabby. And did I mention that I'm scared of the sec 3s? [=P] Somewhat. We have to report on the progress of cca orientation preparations..oh well. At least we have a plan. Hope we can all make it on monday to make the souvenirs.
This sort of admin stuff gives me heart attacks..need to get used to it. =P

Watched vcds of 'Hitler:The rise of evil' today. Thank goodness for the vcds..I thought I would never be able to watch it when they broadcasted in on SCV last time [i don't have SCV. SIGH]Am I the only one who feels sorry for Hitler? You can't exactly blame him entirely for all that has happened..because
"The only thing necessary for evil to flourish is for good men to do nothing"
Some random points. The mini-series actually had a bit on Hitler's niece.[now thats impressive] Poor girl. I would/might kill myself as well if I had some half-deranged uncle who didnt allow me to go back home and lead my own life.
Something to celebrate.......BURTON IS GONE!! DARRAH GOES ON THE THE FINAL FOUR!! GO LILL! GO SANDRA!! Bwahaha. Lets cross our fingers and hope Jon goes next. That guy might be intelligent and a marvellous actor, but his smirks irk me to no extent..reminds me way too much of a certain blonde cretin [coughdracocough] I like Darrah. She reminds me of Amber =D Always thought it was a shame Amber didnt make it to the final four...shes probably the first person to make use of the FUTR strategy fully and effectively. Sarah says she's [Amber, not Sarah =P]going on the all-star Survivor game. Celebrations! Hope Darrah goes on to Final two, although she'll probably be the first one gone from the Four..

My music school wants me to write a little testimonial about how I practice piano so I could do well for that ABRSM exam. They always make the people who get distinction do that, and they publish the testimonial things in their newsletter. They want to know how i practice, how I felt about getting good results and my 'music learning experience'
I could either be politically correct and thank the whole world for helping me, claim i practice maniacally everyday, or give the truth: I don't practice a lot, I think i was just lucky this year to even pass.
Don't want to write that stupid thing..but its compulsory. ARGH.

[faints] Scroll to the post by galadriel waters.
Percy under the imperius curse..why havent i even dreamed of that before..[bangs head against wall]
That forum's amazing. Oh, and there are people who share my opinion about HPOP reads like fanfiction. =)

Am bored again. Thus some random anagrams I found.
Ollivander = An evil lord
How nice, I've always thought he was a little weird even for a wizard..
Ollivanders = Ronald lives orRonalds evil
Sincerely hope its the former, and that he'll live to marry Hermione Granger. The latter is probably a coincidence =) Another explanation is that Ron would live, but he would be on Voldie's side. I prefer not to even think of that possibility. Or maybe Rowling just doesnt quite approve of MacDonalds and its mascot..
Drooble's Best Blowing Gum = Gold Bribe Below St. Mungo's How suspicious. Does anyone suspect that St. Mungo's is corrupted? I mean quite a few people [eg the Longbottoms] have been in there forever and show no sign of getting better. And we all know that Lucius Malfoy donates generously..he might just be donating to make sure some patients are kept in their condition and that they don't improve..k maybe this is far-stretched =S
Another random point. Theres this Mark Evans guy who was beaten up by Dudley, I think we met him in the first chapter of OotP..he's 10 years old. He might be related to Lily..so any chance he might be going to Hogwarts in the next book [where he'll be 11]??

I'm bored. Thus the following nonsense. Some are original, others are favourites from some HP sites like mugglenet and HPN.

2. "Instant Rum" by Seamus Finnagan (foreword by Jack Sparrow)
3. "Hogwarts, A History" (3892th edition) By : Hermione Weasley [yh:sorry, i can't resist]
4. "Can't fight the moonlight" an autobiography of Remus Lupin
5. "Legally Blonde" [now a hit movie!] by Draco Malfoy

10. "The Beauty of Butterflies" by Ronald Weasley
11. "Hermio-ninny, my love" a useless proclamation of love by Viktor Krum
12."Harry Potter And The Long Lost Father--Mr. D Vader" a feature article by T.M. Riddle

Shall now post the long overdue entry about psl camp. The camp was, in a word..inspiring. And motivating as well..really made me want to give my best next year, be it at psl-ing or just work-wise. The instructors were really nice and you can tell that uncle David really knew his stuff..wonder how he learnt it all. Honestly I expected the external instructors to be stuffy middle-aged lecturers in shirts and ties and er..droning on and on and making us fill up worksheets/notes etc. Found out that the whole situation was actually quite contrary =)
First day was very lecture-intensive in the sense that uncle David started off telling us about whole brain learning and about conscious and sub-conscious mind etc, and how our sub-conscious minds would learn from past experiences and develop our individual mindsets..it was quite dry at first, then he started playing games [ie offering $$! And none of us wanted to take the $$ cause we thought there would be a catch involved. Turned out there wasnt any =(]
That night we had station games [ketchup+soap+water = slippery feet+many falls hurting your bum+clothes smelling of tomato] then this reflection activity on what love is. We had to pair up, then uncle David played some really touching songs, and we were asked to define love with our partners. Char and I could only come up with the more cliche definitions..but they're true anyway. Strange that I spend half my time thinking and dreaming about the beauty of love but when I have to define it...I can't. Guess love is something you can't define..you can't have some criteria thing and then evaluate your relationship with a friend using the criteria then deciding if your friend loves you or not..you ought to realise it yourself, deep down.
Woke up really early the next day, thought about a friend, and started crying until the people around me woke up. Sigh. [Next year is going to be really tough without getting to talk to you much]
First thing on the second morning was the visulisation exercise, where we visualised ourselves on a gorgeous beach setting with our parents/best friend. There was music in the background...I've never cried so much by just listening to music and imagining
Had amazing race later. [an emotional session is not the best thing to start a day off with, especially when you have to race around like mad chickens later] It wasnt that bad..uncle David said some of us would end up in Jurong and some at Changi, but we didnt..I think the furthest we got is Dhoby Gaut or Somerset. So now we all learnt the following: Claremont is a condo, and is not anywhere near Chinatown. otto cinque cinque means 855. a bottle of water in sentosa costs $2, while a pair of nice slippers cost $4 at the same shop. Thus, 2 bottles of plain water=a pair of nice slippers. The sentosa monorail supposedly travels at 13.7km/hr, but feels more like 1m/min. Brainless+Clueless=Hopeless. When you have no idea what name to give your team, the instructor in charge would automatically give you interesting names such as 'curry puff girls', 'clueless' and 'brainless'.
Then at 1.42am at night [according to Char] the spsls started banging on the four walls of the 2nd level of block H [where we were sleeping] and telling us to go to the amphitheatre. Sumae and I were in denial and kept thinking the spsls were joking when they announced that we were having a treasure hunt. =P My group had 3 people left in the end[Carmen and Guiyi got chased off to jail and yilun couldnt play with her injured leg], but we finished everything =) I started being hyper and happy at the sight of the Harry Potter clue, but unfortunately it was the one we were really stuck at..when we finally decided to go to the art room we got rewarded with the fright of our lives..some people certainly can scream 'boo' exceptionally well. Oh, and the foyer is extremely creepy at night, with those two mannequins in the museum. Someone swore she saw one of them wave a little =S
Last day we continued with the personality thing. The promoter, supporter, analyser and supporter thing. I'm a controller! [although that means I'll be tactless and slightly arrogant and a bit of aa horrible control freak] You can really tell the differences in the four characters especially when we had to tackle a realistic scenario. The promoters' proposal involved a lot of action, the controllers' involved a lot of work delegation and controlling, the analysers kept planning and wanting more info, while the supporters were just being nice and kind. Very amusing..but how enlightening. I think I'll have a tendency to sort people into the 4 categories next time..=P
Then ended off the camp with presentation of badges [yay=)], songs [we never did sing 'dreaming of you'..]and a jigsaw puzzle. Camp was so fun..kind of different from what I expected, but in a good way. Can't wait for next year=)

Sung to the tune of 'Hey Mickey' [the cute song in the aces day routine]

Hello people, am back from brigade camp=)Will blog about it Some Other Time when I haven a little more energy..
Eh. Nevermind, I'll do something else..
15 things yinghan learnt from brigade camp
1. Check your camp booklet thoroughly for typos before sending them for printing. ['he' became 'her'...good grief. God forgive us]
2. There are basically 3 types of RGPS brigade girls
3. Type 1: unbelievably shy. Type 2: Cute and bubbly, capable of doing perfect YangXiong impersonations =D Type 3: The slightly snobbish P3 ones who have PDAs, worry about getting sunburnt and refuse to drink from the water cooler
4. Its rather easy =)to steal certain teachers' soft toys
5. Try not to start a day with a long morning jog, in which everyone has to jog while carrying an [uncooked] egg.
5. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight"
6. Don't listen to ghost stories at night, especially if you need to visit the toilet later on when nobody else wanted to
7. We ought to set Good Examples, especially when Little Kids below the age of 10 are around [looks in amusement and Miss Wong]
8. When you make someone [hi charissa] climb to the ledge thing of an elevated structure [ie pavillion at Botanic Gardens], chances are that most kids under the age of 10 would start climbing as well, and even little dogs become strangely attracted to the ledge for unknown reasons
9. 2 days without watching Holland V gives you Holland V withdrawal syndrome
10. Having 6 people tied tightly together with raffia then having to move across the hall in the shortest time possible is about as easy as finding an Isabella in winter
11. We all have strong immune systems!
12. You won't die from eating a piece of canned peach that fell on the floor of a random pavillion at the Botanical Gardens
13. You can eat food that has been handled by tongs that were used to handle the charcoal during bbq [we happily mixed up the food tongs and charcoal tongs accidentally =P]
14. Always look carefully at your surroundings, you never know what you might find. An example: 'FISH!'script and program.
15. Always have a concrete plan on how exactly you're going to get home from camp [with huge bag and all], especially if you have no money and your ezlink card has no value.
To be continued sometime soon..

-sobs really loudly- Tomorrow I'm going to look like an idiot briefing everyone about station games. I'm thinking of all the ways in which the station games can screw up and we'll end up with 2 hrs free time and whatnot. Must pass the station masters' cards things to the SMs asap tomorrow..
Packing is a disaster. We will not discuss that further, the only things you need to know are that my bag is about 1m in length, and about twice as heavy as I am. Yay.[and guess who still insists on bringing her discman and cds =P]
Char and I had a potentially lethal crisis a little scare just now when Christie said that Ms. Lorna wasnt coming for camp and we had to look for devotion speakers [those that share and preach, not those that blare sound out]Then I called Ms Wong to check about the devotion thing and she ran through my worship with me over the phone. Eh...was rather traumatising. Its kind of strange..I really admire Ms Wong but am scared to death of her at the same time. Hmmm.
I'm missing Holland V and gao xiao xing dong [coughjoshuaangcoughcough]...someone please help me tape the latter? Rewards will be bountiful, even more so if you let me call you in the middle of the night to ask about Holland V plotlines etc. Still can't believe I'm going to miss the Holland V finale because of PSL camp. Sumae and I might just sneak off during dinner to a random classroom [with tv]...but dinner ends at 7.30. Maybe we can become conveniently lost, or suddenly decide that dinner didnt quite agree with our stomachs and that we desperately need the loo [and continue with Holland V instead]

RUPERT IS GONE
Survivor Pearl Islands is screwed up majorly.
Jon ought to just drop dead.
Go Sandra!
Thursday, November 20, 2003
Bah..guess who's nervous about brigade camp.
I keep worrying about how things might go wrong and that the stuff I'm in charge of would just fall apart or something. What if the station games don't last the 2 hours thats given to it? What if the camp booklet can't be done up in time? What if I can't get adequate materials and preparation done for the spider web? What if the worship isn't good enough? Am nearly hysterical. I'm trying take comfort in the fact that all the things I have to manage are all in the first day's programme, so at least thats over pretty fast. =S

Oh no..holidays are starting to get really boring. Theres nothing much to do except to rot online and watch tv. Of course theres still the chinese homework to complete but I refuse to read anything chinese. And the sight of anything vaguely related to math makes me want to throw up, so I'm not practicing at all..kind of explains why my math never improves.
I desperately want a new layout except I'm way too lazy to upload some of the layouts I have, or just can't be bothered to make any. Anyone feeling really bored maybe you could help me make one? Please? =P Am currently thinking of a Ron/Hermione one. Seems like my Ron/Hermione obsession is having a revival [not that it ever died] of sorts after watching the HPPA trailer and my recent dreams which always seem to include Ron. Last night's was me chasing after Rupert Grint for an autograph then going to J8 with his family =S [told you they are weird] And one day before the subject combinations were released I had a dream in which I was asking the trio what their subject combinations were..Ron's was trip science hist, Hermione's trip science geog, Harry's chem physics geog/hist lit [can't remember]. =S I'm going mad..
Saturday, November 15, 2003
I'm feeling too lazy to blog. Had PSL initiation today, and must say its one of the best experiences of my life. Seriously. Can't wait for camp [wait. It clashes with the holland v finale! -sobs- Anyone could help me tape it please?] Really too tired to type anymore. Another time.

Thursday, November 13, 2003
Opps. I forgot. What on earth am I going to do about my 3rd lang now?! ARGH
Wednesday, November 12, 2003
Alright here goes. I've been kicked out of choir I'm no longer in choir. Main reason being I have too many other commitments to commit properly to choir, and sec 3 would be a very busy year for all CCAs. Sigh. I must admit I did see this coming, but I honestly didnt anticipate it to hurt so much. I know it sounds hypocritical since I've only been in choir for a year, I really love singing and I enjoy the choral music and the performing and everything. And now its all over. Seems like some lovely joy ride you went for, only that it came to this abrupt stop and you really don't know where to go from there. And....its this feeling of rejection. Like your best hasn't been good enough, no matter what. I really tried to juggle everything this year...brigade, third lang, choir, my own other commitments..its just that all these efforts amounted to nothing in the end.
I'm probably lucky in the sense that I still have brigade, and I'll be able to concentrate more on being asst squad head now and give more to brigade as a whole...but still.
Ignore this. I'm angsting. If the problem is that I have way too many commitments, then shouldn't it be my own decision, if I want to drop a commitment [ie choir]? Why should they make the decision for me...its my life and I'll really appreciate it if you let me choose the way I want to live it. Argh.

Shall talk about Interesting Encounter Hongyi Sumae and I had at Plaza Sing. We went there to get tinsel at first, then decided to have lunch at one of the little stores at the basement. We went to order the Korean rice/noodle and omelette thing [it was around 1215] and the guy manning the stall looked so pissed at us when we ordered--maybe he hates students. And he told Sumae to 'gai3 ci4 wo3 hai2 mei2 zhun3 bei4 hao3 ni3 yao4 zi4 dong4 zou3 kai1' [take the initiative to leave if you see that i'm not ready] He took about half a century to cook the food, and kept staring at us like we were convicted murderers [seriously.]..the most amusing thing is that when a few Pretty Office Ladies came up to order he smiled ever so sweetly at them and even joked. -.-'
After which Sumae got really fed up and started poking holes in her syrofoam plate after she finished eating, and HY and I followed her example. Then [feels guilty]I took out a pen and all of us wrote 'attitude problem. What is wrong with you' on our plates, and quickly left the place. But HY swore that she saw the guy taking away our plates, scrutinising the writing on them then dumping them. Opps.
Hope he doesn't have the time to write complain letters to schools.

This is going to be really, really random.
Sometimes I just think..if you get to access my thoughts you'll probably think I exist in an alternate universe or something. I'm forever daydreaming about perfect situations and all my ideals and whatnot, basically just dreaming and imagining how utopia would be like. And all those little pieces of fanfiction i compose in my head and never get down to writing [because my horrible writing would disgrace the imaginary plots]...ha. I never tell anyone about them, though. Will probably scare everyone away with the impossibility of it all. Sorry i'm so incoherent. Sigh.
Have been feeling very down lately. I strongly suspect its because of the endings of Matrix Revolutions and R&J. Hope you don't think i'm crazy...i mean, who on earth lets their emotions be governed so much by movies books and whatnot. Ha...

Romeo et Juliette!! [shrieks madly] Oh well. Someone tell me if its possible to play type 2 dvds in Singapore. If it is I'm going straight to amazon.fr to order the r&j dvd. Hah! And did i mention that Romeo, Mercutio and Benvolio are all LOVELY? [heh]
Never mind. Had piano lesson on Friday, in which my teacher very kindly reminded me that i would be taking grade 8 next year, and one would have to practice 3 HOURS a DAY for grade 8. No compromise on that, 3 hours means 3 hours. Goodness. Does she think i'm a full-time pianist or something? I practice something like an hour and a half a day [and skive off on weekends] and she wants me to do 3 hours at least I must either develop iron hands or ignore her recommendations and see what happens to me. And my piano teacher also tells me horror stories about practicing 8 hours a day for diploma, [I swear i'm never going to touch the piano again after grade 8]and injuring fingers because she played too much without resting [sounds cruel, but serves her right =S]
Wednesday, November 5, 2003
Results were alright, slightly better than expected, and I got into RP, thus I'm worry-free for now.
That is, until i get my [disgusting] subject combination. With my disastrous science EOY paper i'll probably end up with something like bio+physics, or chem+physics, the latter being slightly better. Will go wild for a week before facing reality. I'm always like that..not wanting to mian[4] dui[4] xian[4] shi[2].
Wednesday, November 5, 2003
BAH. Sometimes I really hate being female.
To Char and Yinqi: Yes, next week would be ok. haha..

Heh i'm bored...will list out all my current obsessions right now.
Shipping:Its nice supporting little ships, even when they're nonsensical. And for the ignorant, ships mean the romantic relationships between two people of [hopefully] different genders in a tv series/movie/book/comic etc. Waha. Current ships i support: Ron/Hermione [a big 'HAH' to all the H/Hr people], Draco/Ginny, Fred/George [bwaha. I'm learning from the slash fanatics], WW/YX, RR/TY, JJ/XX [from Holland V]
Romeo et Juliette: Beautiful musical with excellent lyrics. Don't really like some of the pop-ish sounding tunes, but most are wonderful, like 'aimer' and 'avoir une fille'. Thank you JR for introducing it to me =)Besides, its romantic....except it has a tragic ending. Am reading fanfictions with alternate fairy-tale endings.
Will write more another day. Other obsessions: Survivor 7, Clay Aiken =), Les Miserables.

Yesterday was such a wonderful day! =)I'm sure many other people would have blogged about it anyway, so i'm basically just doing a repetition here, but still..can't resist the temptation.
First there was the netball carnival, in which nearly everybody got sunburnt to some extent. [cant wait to see shimin] We lost the first game, and then beat 214 rather unexpectedly. [bwaha] Everyone was just jumping and shrieking around..its was that unexpected. After that our luck seemed to pick up and we won another couple of games, and drew one. Then we had our share of losses..but we won 210 aka the class that was considered to be the most erm, ferocious I was cursing the opposite side for nearly every single game we played =S Sorry for that,..didnt mean anything evil by cursing people to have butter fingers or suddenly break their legs..
And Dawn Teo and jWoon came down..they were the only 2 gep teachers to come down i think, and Miss Teo was the only gep form teacher to come support us. She rocks =) They watched us cheer and jWoon took some photos, i think. And then Char and I dedicated a song to both of them, and they played in about 45 minutes after we submitted the dedication =S
The teachers vs students game was quite lame..but entertaining anyway. Was quite distracted by a spider running around my bag [squashed it with a bottlecap], and thinking of ways to get rid of all the sweat and dirt on my body. Its so bad that if i rub my arm, there would be pieces of dirt flaking off. We won something..the shooting competition=) The 3rd placed had 48 pts, the 2nd had 49 pts and we had 59 pts..thanks to Enyi's shooting which brought 27 pts..she's so zai! And congrats to 213 for getting 3rd for the t-shirt design and cheering =D Like your magic themed cheering.
And then about 22 of us made our way down to Parkway Parade for class dinner at Swensens. Most of us didnt change out or even wore cullotes over our shorts but somehow nobody got into trouble. =) The staff at Swensens seemed really pissed at us for making noise and some confusion about food orders..but hey we have 22 people, and if they expect us to be silent as mice its impossible. And most of us had orders exceeding $10..we must have paid them $300 at least or something. And Miss Teo came for the class dinner! =D I really wonder if she's the only form teacher who would bother to go for her form class' class dinner..she's so nice..sigh. Wish I appreciated her earlier. When she arrived we all stood up and said 'Aye captain' and sang her the happy birthday song even when it wasnt her birthday..hah. We were trying to see if we would get offered free ice cream or something..but we probably only made the staff more pissed at us..and the whole restaurant was looking at us when we sang the birthday song with Dawn Teo just grinning away.
Took the bus to TPY with Charissa and Sharleen, and had a nice talk with Charissa about 212 and how we would miss everyone next year. Everything just seems to pass so fast..sounds cliche, but it really seemed just a short time ago when we just got to know each other, and most of us were secretly unhappy with being put in the 'worst class', as labelled by the teachers. Maybe academically we really are horrid compared to certain other classes, but we have all the unique personalities, and everyone is unique in a way. Wonder what kind of class i would get into next year..but if its too different from 212 i don't think i'll be able to get used to it for quite a while.
=( 212 is probably the best class i've ever been in, seriously. Sigh.

Another example of my stupidity. Just realised that because I'll have to do hssrp next year as well, i might as well just drop dead. Brigade, choir, french. [if i make it through re-auditions. Unlikely.], hssrp, plus my own commitments for things like piano and church. I feel like i'm commiting suicide by trying to do so many things. And its not as if my academic results are anything to be proud of, so what business is it of mine to dabble in so many things anyway. How bu[2] zi[4] liang[4] li[4]. Sigh.

And now i'll update, just to make sure my blog doesn't decompose. Nothing much to say, except I'm [unfortunately] extremely annoyed at some select individuals, and have blocked nearly everybody on my contact list. So now you know why I seem to have lost my interest in messenger all of a sudden.
Drama night prelims tomorrow. I'll be honest here: we have promising material, a rather impressive script, but unfortunately little responsibility or commitment to carry it off....I'm really sorry to say this, but i'm just hoping we don't make a fool of ourselves during the prelims tomorrow. Don't want to imagine what dear Halsall will say. But I suppose we can use Yinqi's suggestion on what to do if we can't get into the finals---sell refreshments during the break thing on the actual day itself. Money for class funds, and will seem like we are actually doing something.

I'm probably the only person still going online and slacking around at this point in time when everyone is bussy mugging and doing practice papers. Sigh. But I've started a little. Shall mug differently from last year, as in, revise the subjects i absolutely dislike first, then look through those that i like last. Can't possibly make the same mistakes like last year. [eg. studying the entire year's syllabus of physical geog two nights before the exam, because i havent been listening to Sara Lee when she taught plate tectonics and volcanic activity etc...]

Things to rejoice over
1. I got a distinction for the ABRSM exam. Hopefully my mother will stop bugging me about my [non-existent] piano-playing skills.
2. Got through to the interview stage of psl application [high-fives charissa] But i think they called back nearly everybody...but nvm.
3. Went for -something- this afternoon...feeling better now, but still. I'm going again next next week. Sigh.

HUNKEYDOREY! hah. Love you all. =)
Oh, and i got 14.5 for my chemistry file, because i lost one of the practical worksheets. Got 3 for creativity, but only because i did this weird menu thing for cover 'decoration'. [i heard that May Tan is sadistic from some 214 people..] Think I'll post the menu later. It involves house specials, cyanide and certain soft metals.
According to my mother, her colleague's son [guy in RI who came from st. hildas. Mother's been complaining about me not being as capable/smart/guai as him since the dawn of time]has received his ABRSM results. Hope I don't get mine today, that would make the 3rd test i failed this week. [test 1: math ca. test 2: ABRMS grade 7 test 3: psl application. but is that considered a 'test'?]

Sometimes when people help you, even when those are really little things that you always overlook, it makes you feel so good and so glad you have a friend like that. Its such a small thing and she bothered to help anyway =) heh. thanks so much.
Ha this might seem quite crappy, but do bear with it.
Saturday, August 30, 2003
Its amazing how glad i am i went to the GB outing today. It was at East Coast [which i had no idea how to get to, but charissa helped =)]. Its basically station games style, except the stations are extremely far apart. Example: We had to walk from the tennis courts to Big Splash. I think the games are wonderful for bonding. You can really see the difference in my group at the end of the games--we could talk easier with one another, were much more comfortable, etc. Can sincerely said everyone tried to pitch in at some point or another...even XXX helped quite a bit. But we were the group that walked in sections...Dorothy and eliza were up front [and Dorothy kept shouting "WALK FASTER LAH!" rest of us. =P The sec 1s were so cute..hah. They were probably getting slightly hyper and kept coming out with weird things like our olympic torch [roll of paper+red/orange leaf], official mascot [the leaf] and such. Hilary and Vic were hooked on the moron cheer =D, and singing this morbid song about commiting suicide and whatnot.
Oh, and before that we had worship, where the songs sang were so beautiful...sigh. Everything just helped me take my mind off things a little. Lets just hope this will last. [is cheered up]

Teachers' day was so FUN. yay =D first we had ACES [in which we all did the buckle girl 'jump' after the workout], then performances by art gym and dance. Then we had the teachers putting up an...interesting skit.[grin] shall comment on the various items..
Lara Croft and Indiana Jones
Impressive..no wonder james ong came out to take his mr. colgate award with his harness on =P And the teacher acting as lara croft really looked it..
Vader, MASKuteer, Zorro and POTO
Sally Wong was vader! hah and charissa was happily shrieking away. the POTO guy can really sing. they've got convincing costumes as well..i wish the POTO guy won thought =)
Ali's angels
LOL. cant believe the 3 Ps are so sporting! no wonder they were all dressed in black..the 3 Ps were actually speaking singlish. amazing. And the new Ali's angels spoke like bimbos. Hilarious.
Asoka
The moment they mentioned 'asoka dancers' the gep classes began shrieking. Bet rosie enjoyed the dance. The 'guys' had to wave their hands around and the women were waving their scarves. very asoka-like. Just like the movie rosie made us watch..
IVS and his outfit...
He was wearing this singlet...oh yuck...i'm scarred for life, seeing him like that. never mind. he should have won the drama-mama award..
LOTR
Mr. conelly was gandalf. his poor hat kept falling down...and in the end he punched sauron's eye and the whole thing tore. interesting, but cannot rival
HARRY POTTER
They had the trio, and hagrid and moaning myrtle as well. MAY TAN WAS RON! hah. she looked really cute, with orange hair and bermudas. hah. thus i have taken a new liking to may and i resolve to work extra hard at her lessons =D Too bad hermione's hair was strait [=S] and two shades too light. sigh.
After which we went to NH and i got my dose of happiness =) I miss the teachers so much..sigh.
Thursday, August 28, 2003
YAY its thursday, tomorrow I'll be going back to NH, i'll see the teachers, i'll see my old friends, i'll see the juniors..[bounces and hits and ceiling] Cant wait for it. I think this is the first time nearly all of us could go back at once, since the celebrations are starting later this year..late morning i think. And then we're going to watch LXG, and qintan's friend and wen e will be joining us.
Going out with Charissa later to get her birthday present and presents for rgs teachers. I've actually been saving [miracle..] to get all the stuff. I'll probably get nice cards for most of the teachers and presents for Mrs. Moh, jwoon and sally wong. =D Oh, which reminds me. Levites, if you are reading this, we are making sandwiches for the doggie meeting, would you prefer to make your own lot and bring them or bring ingredients and we go to east coast earlier to make them?
Saturday, August 23, 2003
Guard of honour was..interesting. We had to wear gloves which were too tight and stand from 9.05 till the guest of honour arrived fashionably late at 10. Spent most of the time whining with Julia, Audris and Tabitha and observing the people who were walking past. Its frustrating to see the women walking so slowly when we wanted to just get over with the GOH duty. And this is embarassing: When we finally could fall out, i did the check-one too fast during the 2nd berhanti and fell flat on my bum. So basically the people behind me who were staring straight ahead would see that I've suddenly disappeared from their line of vision. Hilarious =D

I'm bringing back this blog =) since i'm locking up all the entries on the diary-x one. so far only two people know the password, i think i'll keep it that way.
An amazing thing happened--i passed 2 math tests out of the 3 we got back today. Got only 8/25 for the graphs one, so its probably the lowest in the class anyway. Maybe, if i practice hard enough i might scrape past the CA. That'll be the first CA i pass in a really long time. since p5, i think.
Monday, August 4, 2003
I'm moving to diary-x. [yay] There isnt anything up yet so if you want the links you still have to come back here. I'm still trying to work out diary-x and find some decent layouts to use, so the aesthetic value of that blog won't be outstanding. Anyway. Goodbye pitas. [whips out lace hanky and dabs at corner of left eye]
Saturday, August 2, 2003
I'm in a kind of mixed mood right now..but it was worse yesterday, so its probably some sort of improvement. I suppose I ought to be grateful.
Anyway. Went to SHATEC today and made a fool of myself during the meal thing. Just happened to be sitting with 3 [fellow] gluttons and we kept asking for extra helpings but we werent given them, except for the bread. The Jenny Kreiner woman said we broke all records..haha.
But the thing is that...I failed my drill test. 8 out of the 18 who took failed..sigh. Feel so pathetic. Actually I wasnt sure if I would fail..just harbouring a kind of hope that I would have a pass but didnt make it in the end. Sigh. I suspect its the written test bit,but my drill is horrid anyway. Sigh. Shall not give any excuses. Whats done is done, and I'll just study harder and have a better attitude towards the retest.
They announced the whole new com heads/assistant heads/company positions as well. Christie is chair, and Junli is vice-chair [=D] Melissa gets to be one of the cupboard women! Mayanne is the squad head again, and strangely I'm the assistant head. I mean, I don't deserve it..I've only led worship once and its not that I contribute much to the squad. [stress stress stress]
And my GB fortnight cards are missing Hopefully I can find them..or else will have to make a police report. Anyone else lost/misplaced theirs?
I'm going to miss the sec 4s after they're gone. We have only 5 of them, and all are nice..maybe they'll come back if we all agree with that ;)

I FINISHED MY GEOG LOG. HAH
Stayed up till 1.45am last night to do it, as in, DO it. Looking for articles and working on reflections. Which explains why I have 2 authentic news articles and others are all from the bbc website. Mrs. Mo won't be very happy since it obviously shows a lack of effort. And I printed it out directly from the website, so theres the date thing at the bottom. Some of them read 29/7/2003 [as if it isnt bad enough] while some even read 30/7/2003...ah...Mrs. Mo will throw a fit. Sigh but I finished it anyway =) Feeling so accomplished =D
Random comment. [To Nicola, who probably does not know I have a blog] If you're right at the top, there is no need to conform to expectations right? Especially when the 'expectations' make no sense at all and theres really nothing wrong with not meeting them. So be more optimistic. Hah.
Monday, July 28, 2003
I'm back. Well, sort of. Sorry for not updating for so long, but I'm going to move to diary-x [http://corinth.diary-x.com], and I didnt expect the move to take so long. So, while I look for layouts and work out my links etc, I'll continue to blog here.
Anyway..I need suggestions for blogging style. I'm not comfortable with people I hardly know reading my private thoughts, so I never put them on this blog. There is an option to lock entries at diary-x, and I'm planning to use it..problem is, should I lock up my entire blog or just sensitive entries? And if I give out the password to people, who shall I give it to, and where do I draw the line between 'friend' and 'aquaintance'?

The [unofficial] guide to eating like LQT
[step 1] Spend lots of time queueing for the food
[step 2] Pick our tiny bits of the meat and put it on rice
[step 3] Put 10 grains for rice and bit of meat onto spoon
[step 4] Flatten the food on the spoon
[step 5] Put food into mouth, chew at least 20 times
[step 6] Swallow food
[step 7] Talk a little and adjust hair
[step 8] Repeat all steps til food is finished, or friends are seriously irritated, whichever takes longer.
To LQT: No offence! =P

I read this in the papers:
"if a person takes as few as 7 tablets in a short time, or more than 12 over 24 hours, he could feel nauseous and vomit the result could be worse if more tablets are swallowed in a hurry"
Looks like I have to do something about my pill popping habit. I can eat 14 at once, if my headache is bad enough. [note to all: i get headaches easily especially if i'm upset. so be nice to me. hah.]

We had a really long choir rehearsal today, our last one before the actual day itself. Lets see--we didnt do combined songs, sectionals [sop2s] was terrible, medley was alright.
I hope sop2s can pull through the whole item..we sounded pretty terrible, as in, we could not project, could not phrase, and dynamics were non-existent. Its not that we did not put in enough practice..more like we don't have the confidence/morale to pull it off. Su-Mae thinks that sop2s are basically people whose ranges are neither high nor low, and tone is neither bright nor dark..and I think I agree with that. But alto1 is way better than us, both in sound quality and bonding. And their range is about the same as ours..our notes are just a major third apart for a lot of the songs.
I don't want to sound mean, but I think the problem of us not bonding well can be attributed to the sectional leader, really. I don't even know she was in our section [much less our sectional leader] until april..since she doesnt come very often. And I think she prefers sop1s to us..I saw her singing sop1 parts for the medley and some combined songs. And maybe she 'looks down' on us as well, us being sop2s after all. Oh no..I hope nobody comes after me for saying all this..maybe i'll delete this bit after a while.

Cheryl is a hermit living on top of some ulu mountain.
Cheryl, if you're reading this, the geog traffic project is due tomorrow. You have all the notes we took the day we went to that hillview place, and you happen to have the pictures and statistics as well. If you dont send me your part I wont be able to do mine to be able to hand in tomorrow. Mrs. Mo is already pissed at me for not doing work for the settlement project [because i had a new com and it wasnt working yet]and if i dont do work for this as well she'll be after my blood.
So at least make yourself contact-able..i've tried sms, handphone, housephone, even tagboard. I guess we wont be able to hand in after all.
I'm officially pissed off.

Only 3 more days
I'm going to the bookstore at 0701 and scream my head off when I finally get the book. I waited 3 years for the book, and now its coming out in 3 days. [prances around]

Sorry I havent posted for so long. There just wasnt anything to say. As you can see, I lead a disgustingly boring life.
Am now slacking in the com lab with yinqi, and we are supposed to be working on our history project. And now I'm eating my burger [wonder what happens if a prefect strolls in..] and she's researching for math e-newsletter. Perfect. I'm worried about the history project. Too little people are going down and we're altering out concept altogether and its no longer a 'tour' as we were instructed to do. Hope jWoon doesnt mind.
We should all start a Chan Chen Fen fanclub. She didnt allow Cheryl to transfer! =D Thats probably the only thing shes ever done that actually benefitted anybody. =P

2 more days of agony before the holidays begin. Some holiday. Its packed full with choir pracs, bagpipe pracs and meetings for grpworks, not a single day is completely free for me to enjoy. My mind had already flipped to holiday mode since the physics test last week and -shh- I havent handed in the last 2 maths assignments. Didnt really bother to listen during math today, even though I should be diligently taking notes and asking questions, given my grades. I hope I don't slack off next semester..I'm known to lose steam by the first semester and have my grades slip to nowhere during second semester. Hope it doesnt happen again this year, or I won't make the RP.
I miss primary school. I miss the more relaxed feeling, the familiarity, the people, the teachers, everything. The people were so much nicer, and there wasnt all the back-stabbing and bitching around. It just occurred to me that I never really appreciated my pri school years. Instead I stupidly stumbled through them all and now I wish I havent. Sometimes you only learn to appreciate things after you've lost them and can never get them back again.

[curses]If what Cheryl Seah told me is true, I'm dead. Apparently, jWoon told Cheryl Seah that my group's history drama script thing on Maria Hertogh has been selected for the sec2 gep history drama thing. Its utter humiliation, considering that what we did was last minute work [we were compiling on the day of submission, the plot is cliche, and it has heavens know how many more flaws. And cosidering whos in my group..oh well. Shall not comment, or I'll start being mean.
I hope jWoon wakes up and chooses a script from rosie's class. She HAS to.
AddendumThis world is unfair. First my horrible script got selected, and Jed Hildebrand [!] from survivor5 replied to Sarah Tan's e-mail. Some people get all the luck.

Yinqi, Cheryl, Charissa, Si En and I have formed this notebook clique called 'Secrets of the Bim-Bim sisterhood'. Very interesting name--Bim is short form for 'bimbo'. Rather brilliant, I believe it was Cheryl who came up with the name. We're going to record all our Deep Dark Secrets and no, Cheryl, I don't think I'll be gushing about -----, so wipe that smirk off your face =P And to dearest Yinqi and Cheryl: do kindly stop referring to me as 'Mad Bimbo' or 'yinghan the bimbo' in your blogs--
1. I'm not a bimbo
2. I don't like it
3. What a case of 'pot calling the kettle black'

Current picture we're going to put in the notebook, but still lacking Charissa and Si En. I stole it from Cheryl's blog..

I'm dead. Dead beyond redemption. We've just checked all our CA marks and I did disgustingly. Lets see.
English 61.0
Math 54.1
HCL 76.0 [what was Loy doing? I didnt even hand in a single piece of yue bao..]
Geog 59.5 [stupid settlement assignment]
Hist 73.3
Lit 69.0
Bio 71.8
Stupid geog and math. Leaving me with a disgusting average. Oh yuck. I'll be the last among the NH girls AGAIN. Oh well at least I wasnt last yr. Really deproved for lit and hist, considering those were my 2 best subs last year. I am so jealous of you, who got highest for hist and did second best for lit. [strangles] Good riddance. Shall slave away and be mugger next semester to make up for this awful one.
add-on [5.52 pm]: Got 60 for french. Don't know what went wrong with the stupid paper. Frankly I expected A1. 7/25 for composition is scary, and we don't even get our papers back, so I can't even see what went wrong. Argh.

Just a short note here. 'Something Wonderful' is an excellent book and all should read it =P [thank you mable!] Its ending is so perfect that no other alternative seems possible. Borrow the book from Mable, or get a thorough synopsis from either of us.

What a busy week...tests and assignments and nothing else. Thank goodness the hcl CA got postponed though. I thought I was going to burst into tears if Loy didnt let us postpone the test. =S Sigh I still have 3 kes left to mug and the 25 cheng yus, and theres choir today....won't pon choir to study...have ponned enough recently. I'd better be guai and attend the next 20 choir practices faithfully. =)
Its quite stressful assigning everyone a location to look into for the history project. Everyone's first two choices are nearly always Little Indio or Chinatown and nobody seems to want to do Kampong Glam or Civic District. I'm worried to death that some people will be offended if they don't get what they want...gave someone thir 3rd choice yesterday and she's already not happyy..sigh. I mean, someones its inevitable and you might not get something you want, but you've got to compromise once in a while. Its so tough to pleae everyone at once and if this group thing doesnt get sorted out [ie if there are still disputes by wednesday] i can just imagine what jWoon will say.

A friend told me about this song. Its an oldie, really story-like. Kind of sad, but honestly i'm quite amused. Anybody wants to help me parody it?
Don't cry Joni
Woman: Jimmy please say you'll wait for me
I'll grow up someday you'll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love
forever true
Man: Joni was the girl who lived next door
I've known her I guess 10 years or more
Joni wrote me a note one day
And this is what she had to say
Woman: Jimmy please say you'll wait for me
I'll grow up someday you'll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love
forever true
Man: Slowly I read her note once more
Then I went over to the house next door
Her tear drops fell like rain that day
When I told Joni what I had to say
Joni, Joni please don't cry
You'll forget me by and by
You're just fifteen
I'm twenty two
And Joni I just cant wait for you
Soon I left our little home town
Got me a job and tried to settle down
But these words kept haunting my memory
The words that Joni said to me
Woman: Jimmy please say you'll wait for me
I'll grow up some day you'll see
Saving all my kisses just for you
Signed with love
forever true
Man: I packed my clothes
And I caught a plane
I had to see Joni
I had to explain
How my heart was filled
With her memory
And ask my Joni if she'd marry me
I ran all the way
To the house next door
But things weren't like they were before
My tear drops fell like rain that day
When I heard what Joni had to say
Woman: Jimmy, Jimmy please don't cry
You'll forget me by and by
It's been five years since you've been gone
Jimmy I married your best friend John
Someone volunteer to parody this with me!

Had so much fun yesterday! Went out with Cheryl and Char..ate at this nice sushi bar [where cheryl and char kept on eating crabstick -.-'], took neoprints and bought stuff for our bags ;) The bill for the sushi came up to forty bucks...we took so much and I gotsome pretty expensive [and to quote cheryl, "exotic"] stuff. Too bad Cheryl refused to try the jellyfish. =P Heres the neoprints we took...I'm the one in pinafore [if you're even reading this you probably already know. Cheryl's blog has another picture, one that has me looking like some bloodthirsty vampire. Very interesting.

Com studs now. Nobody's listening, as usual, but poor Roy Tan.
Sigh. What is jWoon's problem? I remembered she told us that she didnt believe in labelling or criticizing so badly, and what is she doing now? Shes the most zai teacher when it comes to putting down our class. Fine, scold us for not handing in our work or coming in late, but dig up all our past mistakes when you start scolding? And comparing us to the other classes [that we have learnt to tolerate, more or less], her RI students and her normal acad students? And even if we tolerate that, she has no right to attack anybody and use terrible adjectives on them, especially when she does that in front of the whole class. And one more thing. She loves telling us that she hates scolding people, but 2-12 leaves her with no choice. Give me a break. Doesnt she make her own choices or something? She is the one who chose to scold us, how can we possibly force her or anything. She makes her own ultimate decision and she blames it on us.
Frankly I dont care if she reads this entry, or she overhears any of us talking about her. She needs to learn how she's affecting us and shes not helping at all. I think we're getting numb to her comments..sort of. As in, I use to feel guilty when she reprimands us, but now the only thing i feel is anger and frustration towards her. I just wish some of our teachers would keep quiet for a while and give us a chance to straighten up before giving us their put-downs...but would that be impossible? We already asked to be left alone for a while and still jWoon has done it to us again. Sigh.

I reckon I'm getting crazier by the day. Hanging around Cheryl Seah has its disadvantages. Anyways, working on a TMOV parody right now. Anybody wants to help out? So far those involved are Cheryl, Grace, Char and Mable [i think], and me of course =P. The plot is completely nonsensical, complete with slash pairing and semi-incest. [those were all cheryl's wonderful ideas]You can see a bit of the first scene at cheryl's blog, but theres only a little bit there. We just started today, and have just got the whole plot straightened out.
Just a poll here. Should I add a 'friends' section to my blog? As in, descriptions of them? Seems like a good idea at the moment. Tell me what you think by tagging =)

Things I learnt today
1. 'Dont ask your mother to wake you up at 6.00 if your first item for the day is at 7.15'
2. Smsing someone where you two are less than 10m away is a very stupid idea
3. Running at top speed with a bag slung on one shoulder kills the bag strap
4. Never fold your sars declaration form and leave it all crumpled in your bag
5. Carrying a duffel bag around [with strap broken] like a toolbox makes one look retarded
6. Dont ask too many questions during Q&A--its rude! [paraphrased from P.Chia]
7. Q &A lasts 5 minutes, or until the presenters are lost for words--whatever is shorter
8. RGS' presentation rawks =D
9. RGS is about the most enthu school. The only one that knows how to cheer. Or dares to
10. When people are not allowed to leave an auditorium during a break, they engage themselves in a buaya fest.
11. Smsing with a teacher in front of you and a PIT behind you is a terrifying thing which may lead to nightmares and heart attacks
12. Printing out coloured leaflets [text on only one side with the other side blank] when you're doing a presentation on waste minimisation is downright dumb
13. Asking questions consistently during Q&A makes you famous
14. Having portfolios that are pleasing to the eye earns brownie points with both the audience and the judges
15. The TCHS PE t-shirt is horrendously hideous
16. Cheryl Seah can eat A LOT.
17. 'Apple pie and hot fudge sundae doesnt taste good together' "
18. Sending 50 smses a day not only kills your phone, it gives you finger spasms until you cant play the technique exercises for piano
19. When you're trying to get out of an MRT carriage to another, you're bound to bump into lots of people, and
20. At least 3 will shoot you dirty looks
~end~
New layout, coutesy of Charissa. She rawks! [hugs] Too bad I cant see it on my own com for some strange reason. Am using the school com now, playing some songs... Going to have dance later =)
Bleargh feel so piggish. Went with Sien, Grace, Cheryl and Yinqi yesterday to this jap restaurant for lunch...extremely good and cheap =) Then we poured the soy sauce thing into this glass of water and put a lemon slice in it...looks like lsmon tea. Gross....hope they dont reuse their drinks and give other people later or sth. Grace and I ate too much..we had PFT after that and could hardly walk..hahaz. Ended up 'cheating' a little for sit-ups. Just a little. Got a bronze in the end, because of stupid broad jump. Cant be bothered....i'm happy enough coz I was expecting to fail.
Something has to be done about our class situation. Its getting worse by the day, not because we are being more problematic, but because we're not getting full co-operation from all the teachers. It just seems that whenever we're feeling motivated for once, a teacher would happily come to label us again, yell and us, or compare us to 213 and 214. It must be hard on the teachers, but its hard on us too! Its doing nothing for our class morale, which must be raised before we can improve together. We're going to try and talk to the teachers about this, hopefully everything will work out somehow. But I've got this feeling some of them will still think that they have a right to criticise the class for everything which do not please them. Sigh.
Wednesday, May 7, 2003
Mrs. Mo gave our class a pep talk yesterday, about us being the worst class [nothing new,1000th time we've heard it]and how we should all work together to prove ourselves to the teachers. She was going on about how she belived in us..and she started crying, saying we were robbing her time and she could not spend time with her daughter because she had to take care of all of us..kind of sad. I mean, you don't have teachers crying in front of their classes every single day.
We had to give individual comments about what mistakes we have been making, and anything else we wished to say, or 'confess'. I mumbled something about not working hard enough for all subjects...then she was saying that I've dipped in academic performance. Which is pretty strange, since I am working harder this year than the last and I actually try my best to do all my hw [compared to last year where I hardly handed in work]. Oh well. Guess I have to buck up NOW. That pep talk did make me sit up...it sort of jerked me awake. Its not a good feeling, knowing that you have been in the wrong and that it might even be too late to try and change.

Went to watch X-Men 2 [ponning sectionals at the same time. Goodness, CherylS is a bad influence on me] with Cheryl and Sien. NSW Science ended at 1.45, and we actually managed to stop by at Far East to get lunch before going to Plaza Sing to watch the movie at 2.30...even though we were a bit late in getting the tix and had to get 3rd row seats =S Anyways. The movie was excellent, and some members of the cast were particularly erm.. interesting Lets just say that CherylS and I started fan clubs for both Cyclops and Iceman. Both were extremely sweet to their girlfriends =) [everybody swoons] And quote all three of us: "Wolverine can go rot in hell for all we care" Hah. I'd better not comment on the plot in case I spoil it for those who haven't watched it.
PS: Pity Jean Grey 'died'. She and Cyclops looked good together, better than her and Wolverine.
PS no. 2: As we were discussing today--Nightcrawler and Storm would make a very interesting couple.

Just watched the trailer for X-Men 2 in com studies. The teacher was showing it to us and telling us how great it was, the effects and blahblahblah. Now I really want to watch..hah. Com studs teachers are quite poor things..I mean they are pretty much talking to the air when they teach us since all of us are usually online blogging or blog-surfing during cmo studs and we never bother to listen. Most of the time. Unless we get a com studs teacher from hell who will book us if we go on the internet. But i'm feeling quite bad for not listening..this relief teacher we got is pretty nice. Shall make an effort to actually listen and learn something. Instead of writing nonsensical blog entries or playing neopets.

My head's in a whirl. What have I done? Should have been more sensitive, less selfish. Dont even know if it is going to be resolved. Maybe I won't get lucky this time. Dont even know what I can do to help..the damage has been done. Everything seemed so perfect yesterday, and the world just came crashing down on me now. And its all my fault.

Today's recreation was so fun =D We played this weird game called 'encore' where each squad had to sing a part of a song, and the next group has to continue by starting the song with the last word of the song the last group sang. Actually, it doesnt matter if you start the song with that word, just that your song would have to have that word in it. [sounds complicated. its just my language skills]Cheryl Seah was simply brilliant--when gideonites ended their song with 'us', recrea squad got stumped and got eliminated from the game and us levites had to come up with a song straightaway. Guess what Cheryl thought of:
"From high Olympus flows to us the glory
On us the sacred fire descends"
Every single squad got stumped at 'descends' and when it came back to us we couldnt think of a song with 'descends' either, so we had to start another round.
I'm telling grandmother stories
Anyways [horrible =P] Agape somehow ended with "....beauty and the beast" and we were stuck on 'beast'. And Cheryl saved the day again [unexpectably] by suggesting the following:
"Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland
Beasts of every land and clime
Harken to my joyful tidings
Of the golden future time"
This proves that Cheryl can actually think, when she sets her mind to it. [I'm implying that she doesnt use her brains very often]
I still can't decide which cca I like more, brigade or choir. I love singing in the choir and all but I don't really feel like I belong. Or maybe its just that I don't make an effort to bond with the people. Or its just that I've been in brigade for a year already and I have more friends in it..Actually I don't think some people in choir aren't as nice as xinzi says they are. Hmm. Hope no one takes this the wrong way and get offended or anything.

Petite and gentle. What a joke...
Just a short note here, for me to rant. Why on Earth do I keep getting Cosette for the character quizzes?! I tried 2 different quizzes and I get Cosette for both of them. Not to mention, for the Les Miz theme song quiz, I got 'A heart full of love' for the 2nd try. Made so much noise complaining about that result that my father came in to check on me. He thought I was having fits or something :S
Speaking of fits. As some of you know I have headaches very often and because of that I have had a couple of scans on my brain before, when I was younger. Of course theres nothing wrong with me [duh] but I still get headaches all the time. Wonder why....according to my aunt and my parents I used to have fits when I was a kid [below 7 I think] Hope its the kind of fits triggered by fevers and not the kind that indicate brain damage...
And I actually went for the first aid thing..didnt pon after all, since we all paid $45 for it. We had our theory tests and practicals on the 2nd session and the theory test was so easy...[erm we did discuss answers though. without the instructors knowing]The practical was quite fun..we had to give CPR and give answers on how to respond for two other different scenarios. The CPR was quite interesting actually....you compress the poor manikin's chest..:-P oh and you have to give mouth-to-mouth to the manikin too. Hah quite funny to 'kiss' the manikin like that but we had face shields so it was quite clean...Anyways I passed the course and am now certified but please don't come fainting near me or I'll have to give you CPR :s...
Oh well this doesnt seem like a 'short note' at all. Oh well..at least it compensates for the past two entries which were nothing but quizzes.

I found some Les Mis quizzes!
| You're... "Do You Hear The People Sing?" |
|---|
Will you join in our crusade? Who will be strong and stand with me? You're all about righting wrongs. And making a mess. And yelling a lot. What's more, you're contagious. What's Your Les Miz Themesong? |
| You're Cosette! |
|
You've grown up sheltered and innocent, though that doesn't mean you're spineless. You love your daddy, you love your boyfriend, and you get to live happily ever after. Lucky you. Which Les Miz Woman Are You? | Oh no not that bimbo....[pukes]
| You're Enjolras! |
|---|
Chaste, severe, and sometimes longwinded. Girls swoon at your feet, boys take your orders, and thugs cower at your righteous wrath.
Which Barricade Boy Are You? |
I was pretending to be a guy. :-P
Shall do more some other day :-)

Went to watch Oliver! with the twins yesterday. The show was absolutely fantastic :-D The sets and props especially, were beautiful and the scene changes were practically seamless. Very impressive. The songs were great as well, especially 'As long as he needs me'. The Nancy we saw was the understudy because the original singer couldn't perform...[due to some reason unknown to the audience...who knows..she could have eaten too many durians and lost her voice or something :-S]Will not give the whole plot summary..its long and I'm too lazy to do it. And You can always read the book yourself.
The twins and I got the program [which costs $20. Unbelievable] and the London Palladium Cast CD. The London Palladium Cast has Adam Searles and Jenny Galloway in it :-D and for the ignorant, Adam Searles played Gavroche in the Les Miserables TAC while Jenny Galloway played Madame Thenardier. We went to ask the ushers if we could get autographs from the cast and one of them told us where the stage door was but we went to the wrong place and only realised where the stage door actually was after the cast has left. But we managed to see some of the kids and the crew :-D.
Allow me to insert some crap here: My birthday is approaching. Everyone get presents for me. Those priced above $50 are preferred :-D

More about the GB camp. On the second day after the Amazing Race, our group finished early and we used the remainder of the time playing truth or dare. It was so fun...I asked for a dare and I had to go up to this woman who was clad in a strapless bra and bikini bottom and wrapped in a towel and ask to borrow her towel. Cannot tell her its a dare some more..so I told her I needed her towel for something important and she gamely took off her towel although she was like "what do you need it for". Then poor Elisa had to go up to this rather cute-looking guy and ask for his handphone number, and Rachel Yap had to do a cheerleading routine right in the open and after she finished there was this group of girls who were clapping...
Then on the 2nd night when we were bathing 2 of the sec 1s in my group was asking me what school I was from and when I said NHPS they were like "I thought you came from a girls school. You're not even dirty minded and never hear you swear before!" Whoa. Shall take that as a compliment :-D O well I do have people telling me I don't seem to swear. I remember there was this chinese lesson where I said 'damn' and someone said "wow can't believe you just swore".
I miss camp..its like the camp has to end just when you've bonded better with your group and you are really starting to enjoy yourself and are starting to be really enthusiastic and everything. ~sigh.

Just came back from camp on Monday and it was so fun! It was 3 days 2 nights and held in school but we went out mostly and only came back for dinner and to sleep in the [freezing] Drama T. The theme was "Be the apple of God's eye" and we were all divided into groups named after [weird] fruits. I was assistant leader of group Pomegranate, and ironically I have no idea what it is or how to pronouce it. :-P O well first day we went for urban hike where we had to do all sorts of weird stuff in front of people at Orchard Road...like sing and dance, ask them weird questions, speak to them in Jap etc. etc. Then once we were racing to get into this MRT and the doors closed and I was left outside at the platform and seperated from my group then they were like trying to hold the doors of the MRT to prevent it from closing while the outter doors had closed already. The train must have some system where when a door is open they open all the doors and close agian or sth. coz the MRT doors opened again. :-)
Second day we had the Amazing Race at Sentosa. There were only 5 stations but somehow it took us nearly 5 hours to finish the whole thing. There was one station where we had to dip our head into a pail of saltwater and take a bite from this apple floating in it, then spit the apple as far as we could. The apple tasted salty :-P and I heard that someone managed to spit 10 feet!
Then 3rd day the sec 2 gep people got to miss clean-up since we had Maths Trail and had to go out for lunch :-D And the maths trail was so boring and my group just slacked and we didnt even do some questions. There was this part where we had to work out the exchange rates and all and we all ended up asking the guy at the money exchange counter. And he was nice enough to give us the answers and explain to us! BTW he looked like Ivan Soh and spoke like him too..maybe he'a a brother or somthing :P Then we spent the rest of the Math Trail complaining what a waste of time and money it is. [Whoever is reading this, kindly do not tell any teachers the contents of the above entry]

Stayed back after history make-up today to chat with Jillian Woon today. Somehow the topic got round to how 2-12 is the worst class in the whole of sec 2 gep. Which may be a fact...after all, our teachers have been meticulously telling our class that we are the worst lot in our cohort and that we better buck up or else etc. etc.
Mrs. Mo said that our class was hard to teach because some of us simply dont care about work, while the others try hard but just cannot make it. Talk about the ultimate insult. We have smart people too..some muggers and yes, some other no-so-mugger people as well but its just wrong for the teachers to speak of us like that. Its like, they are complaining to us, complaining to each other and have never talked to us about how we can improve or tried to help us. Its so unfair..they are prejudiced against the whole class just because of some of the things we do [or some people do, for that matter..sorry I'm not trying to be mean..forgive me :-(]

Yesterday was simply 'fantistic!' [thinks of Wave] For lunch i went out with Jemina, Joanne and their friends to Far East and we met Si En and Grace there. Joanne's friends took such a long time to arrive that we only had time to eat and I didnt have enough time to get a present for MY friend. :-( Have no idea what to give anyways. Oh then we went to take a neoprint which was quite a disaster since there were too many people and poor Grace wasnt captured at all..only a corner of her yellow file was showing on the print.
Then we went to the NEWater visitor centre which was a total government campaign..they kpt stressing the fact that our government was like, taking the best measurements possible and like we exceed all the heath guidelines and we won awards for NEWater blah blah blah. No matter what they say, NEWater is still derived from sewage water [and unfortunately, we didnt manage to see any of the sewage] and it tastes weird. We were all given a bottle of NEWater free then after I finished about half of it I realised that it had an expiry date and he expiry date on my bottle was 11032003..which was yesterday! :-S And why does NEWater have an expiry date anyway its supposed to be so pure theres practically no germs or whatever in there so since the whole content is non-living how can it expire?!
Our class is in some sort of craze right now to adopt sisters/brothers, marry each other and to make pets out of each other :-S. The weird thing is that some people have more than 1 wive/husband and someone's mother is married to both the father and grandfather, I think. How scandalous. As pets I'm Bazang the Green Dragon belonging to Cheryl Seah and Blurpok the penguin belonging to Charissa. And jemina is my Mushu, komodo dragon which I co-own with Charissa. Oh and Charissa and Jemina are my sisters. :-D I am pleased to say that I am not married to anybody or involved in any scandal. [gets grossed out by the idea]
Math test next block. Wish me good luch that I can get more than 10. I dreamt I got 5/35 :-S

Today during choir they officially announced the results of the SYF auditions. It was so sad..as in those who got in [in the case of the sop 2s, that is] were celebrating and those who didnt were left on their own. But those who didnt get in were mostly sec 1s and 2s so I guess we will get our chances two years later..
On a lighter note. My mom and I had this very interesting conversation at dinner today.
Mom: Yinghan, are you friends with any boys?
Me: Yes. Why?
Mom: Do the boys and girls meet up every now and then?
Me: Yea..
Mom: [goes into some ramble about how girls at my age will start to like boys and think they are handsome, cute, adorable etc and how its perfectly normal and that at her age she was like that too yadda yadda yaddaya]
And all this time my dad had an irritating grin on his face[rolls eyes]

Jillian Woon must be one of the most interesting history teachers around. Its rather amazing how she digresses all the time when she teaches [and still manage to teach us well and be on schedule] Take yesterday's history lesson for example. We were talking about different types of government, when she mentioned democracy. From then, she began to talk about absolute democracy, voting systems in ancient Rome/Greece, the acoustics of the amphitheatres of ancient Rome/Greece [cant remember which], then to how women were not allowed to vote and women being considered as useless stuff in the past and only required for procreation and the likes. Then she continued about how women in China had to bind their feet so they could sway when they walk so the men would feel that the woman is very vulnerable and would be attracted to her...oh and she mentioned that no matter what, guys will always prefer sweet, demure and feminine girls. Its very amusing. :-P

Totally screwed up my auditions and didnt get into SYF, as expected. Everyone was so nervous...we had to sing solo parts from "Lauda Sion' and the jap song and the part we had to sing for the jap song went up quite high, to high G. And the Lauda Sion part tests our pitching coz the notes were like ascending and descending a semitone at a time. I went completely airy and off-pitch and screechy at the jap song. Dunno how I did for Lauda Sion [probably not much better] Sigh shall not ramble about my own inability to sing properly...
Math CA next wednesday and French CA next monday. Speaking of french, I'm actually thinking of quitting french. Firstly the interest has long worn off...my only motivation to study french now is that I might be able to read Les Miserables in its original untranslated form if I master enough french. And I'm doing kinda badly in french...which will drag down my results. Math has already done enough damage to my grades :-P Erm. And basically I don't have time for 3rd lang, with choir, brigade, bagpipes, piano and all. Dunno. Should I quit? :-P

This entry about GB flagday is kind of belated, considering that the flagday took place last saturday..Anyways it was quite fun, but tiring. We had to wear uniforms so we were all feeling really warm..O btw I paired up with Cheryl and went as a team to ask for donations. We walked all the way from orchard mrt to somewhere near raffles city then back again. [feeling so proud of ourselves] The people who donated were quite nice..they really gave a lot of change and more than half gave a dollar or more. We got some $2 notes as well and someone else's group got a $10 note. :-D
Its quite fun to get donations from those families with kids. The kids will beg their parents to donate just so they could put the coin into the bag and get the sticker. And they look so adorable when they take the sticker and smile at you happily :-D
Anyways when we got back to school we had filled-up bags with us and about 3 sheets of stickers gone. And Janine and Ms. Wong commented that both Cheryl's and my bags were really heavy. :-D Yay.

Choir auditions for SYF are tomorrow and I am going to disgrace myself in front of Ms. Loo, my seniors and the sec 1s. Reasons:
1.I shriek at the high notes [high e onwards..thats so lan]
2.Not familiar with the jap song
3.Still not putting in enough expressions
4.Singing not 'tall' enough, very airy.
Maybe they will even kick me out of choir, after they hear how I sound like.

School was unusually fun today. We had to present our plays for Lit. lesson today. Our group was doing 'Pimples and other decisions'...guess we did ok, except that I haven't really memorised my script:-P m1 was great especially when she went hysterical about the pimple at the end of her nose. Mingwei was wonderful too...looked so cute in the RGS cap and apron..and I like the way she pronounces 'bok-choi' :-P Amanda's group improvised 'Oreos and noserings' and they did really well...there was one part when the whole group went melodramatic and started sweeping their arms around at every line they said and going on their knees every alernate second...
During art my group had the most 'interesting' discussions. Erm. We were talking about everything under the sun, from the weird [irresponsible mothers, surrogate fathers, meteor garden (!!!), HP couplings], to the rude [questions to ask our science teacher when he teaches human reproduction, half-dead teachers, teachers who looked like they belonged to the time period of the Salem witch trials], to the taboo [erm....sex ed, homosexuality, nc17 fanfiction *blushes*]We were laughing so loudly until the [mean] teacher came and scolded us. Haven't laughed so much for a long time :-D

OMG this is so humiliating. Jo-Ann was bored and was typing my name onto some search engine then she got directed to this sweet valley fansite that had my name on it stating I was the 1500th visitor to the site or something. And the worst thing is that i really did visit that sweet valley site before, just that I was like, 7 when I did? I only read sweet valley in P1...[sniffs] This is so humiliating.
Choir was quite alright today, despite the fact that we practiced only one song during the entire 3 hour practice. Getting sick of Lauda Sion [at least I won't be writing lyrics on my assignments and humming it non stop till my parents get sick of it as well]Busking was a nightmare as usual. I sincerely hope the people in my busking group never find out that I have a blog :-P Choir is going for SYF soon, and that why we are training so hard. I won't get to perform I am sure of that, coz I basically suck at singing and erm..I still get airy sometimes, especially around high C to high E. No idea why. No problems with anything below or above that range of notes.

Thanks to today's choir practice, 'Lauda Sion' is now stuck in my head and won't stop playing. I was humming it when i did my geog hw and I actually ended up writing some of the lyrics on the worksheet [unconsciously of course. :-P Sigh my busking group is kind of erm pathetic..all I can say is that we don't really bond well and theres very little group dynamics. And we were arguing over the solo part for 'At the Beginning' then suddenly they decided that I could sing the solo part since everyone else had a turn at other songs already. I feel like some last resort...like when Ron finally asked Hermione to the Yule ball when he couldn't find anyone else and didn't want to get stuck with a pair of trolls with Harry...NVM. [sigh]
Anyways I got the new computer today. Some HP Pavillion thing that looks really cool is is supposed to be quite good. And it comes with this 4-in-1 printer thing that supposed to be able to print, scan, fax and photocopy. :-D Haven't installed it though...Dad is saying that I should read all the manuals and try to install myself ['you are old enough to take care of your own things you know....'] *_* Ill probably just end up short-circuiting everything and killing myself. [and not be able to enjoy my computer and broadband]

In E312 now and I refuse to study for my HCL CA, which I will take in a little more than half an hour. Can't absorb anything anyway. Studied all the stupid 'cheng yu' yesterday and forgot 3/4 of them when I woke up. I'm hopeless academically. O and I got a very impressive 5/15 for my indices assignment..Mrs. Tan will return all the test papers today. I bet all my limbs I got the 5/25 Mrs. Tan has been complaining about. O well at least i won't get a shock when I get back my script. Everyone in the classroom is mugging their heads off and I'm still using the computer. Strangely, I DON'T feel guilty at all. :-D
To Jinrou: I finally listened to the CD you lent me. Nearly all the Romeo and Juliet songs are ok..[but Les Mis. is 10000+ times better] and I especially like the 'Les [blarh] du [blarh]'
How many weeks are thee left to Term 1? I can't wait for it to end. School is a nightmare...

I think I found the ultimate source of depression. I totally sympathise with Eponine. Nevermind. Don't ask.

Yay my computer is finally working again, and I've got broadband! The speed is now decent, thank goodness. I used to have a disgusting 56K dial-up which was a complete nightmare when it comes to downloading anything. And my dad just ordered a new computer. I'm on cloud nine:-)
Had prefects investiture last friday. It wasn't as bad/boring as I thought it would be, except when they had those really boring speeches about how being a prefect helped them grow, enriched their lives and all. When we sang 'Pass it on' we sort of screwed up at the first verse because we were singing to this tape that we couldn't hear and apparently it stopped playing halfway so we ended up a few lines behind the singing on the tape [sigh]The prefects were quite funny when they did the dances..especially when they were all dressed up in their vest and wearing court shoes. And erm sorry to all the prefects, but some of the items were a little lame. :P
Stupid Darren. If he tries to impersonate me one more time or tries to bother me with his nonsense I will crack his skull, sever his limbs and feed his fingers to dogs. Yummy.

Great my connection dies on me every 10 minutes, my phone isn't working properly no one can call me and I can't call anyone. And theres a cold war going on in my house in which nobody is speaking to anybody because of this whole phone situation thats pissing everybody off.
Oh well not bad there is some consistency in the whole colour thing. 3 purples and 3 browns. I need a tie-breaker. But anyway when you people say purple what shade do you mean--as in pastel, bright or pukish? Don't really have anything else to say oh well happy belated valentine's day to all especially Jo-Ann *grins* she had a rather interesting encounter...
Thursday, February 13, 2003
I suddenly remembered Xinhui once asking me what colour I think she was as in what colour symbolises her. Appareantly they had to write something about that for physics class...anyway I'm suddenly getting all interested in what colour people think I symbolise so will you people just tell me what you think by tagging :-). Thanks. Xinhui and wanjie seem to think I'm brown...:P

Have removed wanjie from the plugs list. But why would she not want people to read her blog anyway...
I think there is a problem with blogs. Its supposed to be a diary of sorts for the blogger but who would be able to post such personal stuff on the web for all to read anyways, and the fact that most of the people who actually read your blog are those who know you actully makes it worse. Unless you're the type of person who don't care about your own privacy you'll find yourself filtering the content of what you put in your entries..."Should I blog about this?"...."Will people laugh at me if I say this?"Its like, blogs are supposed to be for you to record your thoughts feelings blarh and in an extent, you do put those in but not all. I mean, the most perosnal feelings are supposed to be the most important ones since they are the ones that actually reflect you, but they end up not being able to see the light of day.....
Can anyone actually follow what I said? I have a feeling that I haven't made this very clear :P

Feeling really 'sigh-ish' today. I'm sick at home with fever, had to leave school after first block yesterday...sigh. O I've eaten 10 Panadols since 9 this morning hope nothing happens to me I think the maximum you can take for a day is 8 or something Well at least that gives me extra time to do my maths assignment [I think I'm going to get 0/15 for it..I have a phobia for indices now]Can't imagine why some people actually like maths..probably only the people with really high intelligence [ie. Xinhui]
Speaking of intelligence, I hereby proclaim New Jin Rou an absolute genius. She bought me this bookmark with Rupert Grint on it [as Ron Weasley, that is]it looks so good..*gives a bimbotic-sounding scream* Hey Jinrou if you happen to drop by that bookstore again please help me buy all the HP-related bookmarks/posters/whatever. *grins* To all R/H shippers, do visit this website its rather interesting

Went to watch 'The Ring' today. A tip to all: Try watching "The Ring" when you have to stay up late to mug--it'll give you insomnia. It completely freaked me out..I think I screamed for at least 5 times and closed my eyes for about 10..Can't believe how the guys managed not to scream at all.
I shall not bother describing the plot..if you really want to know you have to watch it yourself :-) Basically theres this weird video and after you watch it the phone will ring and from then on you have 7 days to live. And you die a really horrible death. *shudders* Theres this really scary scene where the 'ghost' climbs out of the TV screen to attack someone and her face was so...never mind. I'm freaking myself out all over again. But not I'm really afraid of the dark and I'm not too keen to touch the television.
And before that we went back to Nanhua to see the teachers. We had to take a photograph with Mdm Fong and poor Jo-Ann had to stand right next to Mdm. Fong..I think she is stil rather traumatised by the experience. But it was nice catching up with the teachers. Theres only Huang lao shi, Miss Yim, Miss Lee and Mrs. Chai left now. [sigh] Its weird that I didn't use to like primary school but now I'm beginning to wish I'm in primary school again. Its much more relaxing and the people are nicer to each other...

Haven't updating for a week..completely no time/motivation/material to write about.
Does anyone want to go back to NH to see the teachers n disturb this yr's P6 batch? So far only RGS n NY ppl can go. Theres another school that can make it but the ppl are completely un - yin(2) shui(3) si(1) yuan(2)and have decided not to go. [insert string of insults meant specially for those ppl]Seems like we don't care much about our primary school teachers et al anymore... :-(
Hah started listening to Avril Lavigne recently. Really like her songs, especially 'Complicated' and 'Things I'll never say' [its sounds like its specially composed for R/H or something..] Anyone whos feeling particularly charitable is especially welcome to buy me her 'Let Go' album :-D Seriously can anyone get me one??
I shall say something nice about Ivan Soh to redeem myself from my past meanness to him. K actually there was this bunch of people who came to our school selling chocolates then Ivan Soh actually bought a whole lot of chocolates for his form class. Well thats pretty nice I guess--he's probably not that bad..maybe just royally freaked out by all-girls classes and some of our 'cheeeeeeem' vocabulary.

Our wonderful science teacher told us a fable today. Text below are his exact words, basically and because its his speech and not mine, I shall not bother to censor the vulgarities:
"Once upon a time there was this bird that was flying happily in the sky. One day, a hunter shot it down. Although injured, the bird was only slightly stunned and was not going to die. As it lay resting on the ground, a cow came over and shitted on it. As it was winter and was very cold, the bird was contented being in that nice warm pile of shit and began singing and chirping in it. The hunter heard it and promptly shot the bird. And the bird died.
Whats the moral of the story? When you are being contented and happy in a nice warm pile of shit, don't talk, don't make noise.
I truly pity 1-11..having to put up with the science teacher's crap [he's their form teacher..]esp. during ACE lessons..

Ha now at school in the history room and hogging the teacher's computer, which claims to have the Singtel Magix connection but is slow as a 56K. Bleargh this is so ironic theres at least 15 computers in this room but none of them works for some strange reason.
It was so funny yesterday..our english teacher made us write love-letters to each other. She created personas for us..some lame guy called Hugh and some rich girl called Charlotte..they are supposed to have met at some ball..it was supposed to be a love letter we're writing but lots of people ended up writing hate letters to each other. The letter I got is full of insults haha how I danced so badly and looked like some bobbing chicken..unforunately I was not creative enough to think of writing hate mail :( so I wrote a real love letter *pukes* I quoted Lees Mis in desperation, "Have you ever felt your world can change in just one bust of light, and what was right seemed wrong, and what was wrong seems right". Whoever got my letter is going to be nauseous for months.
School is being totally horrible so I shall rant about how sucky everything is. Hah. Firstly theres so much homeowork and when you walk around you see everyone with eyebags...some people [like me] look like pandas...urgh. So many assignments...so little time..
Speaking of school let me discuss our 'wonderful' science teacher. I shall not name him..but he's simply terrible. I think I'm gonna fail biology. O our school is using this modular system for science like you do one term of bio, then chemistry, then physics. Just our luck to get the bio teacher first. And guess what--he's male. And we're learning some sexual education stuff for bio this year and I wonder how he's gonna teach us [er..this is er...*blush* no I mean it is....*blush*] I hope he just tells us to read the textbook [which is totally GRAPHIC]. Urgh. I [and everyone, generally] hates the way he talks and acts around. My friend thinks he's trying to be macho...unfortunately, he's making himself look like a bit of a freakish idiot :P Hah someone counted how many times he flips his hair in a 60 min class--23 times. Do you thinks its eligible for the Guiness Book of World Records?
To wanjie: Since you have given up on the Eponine layout, can you let me make something based on her? :) O you mentioned an Eponine shrine--maybe we can do that together..you do the layout and I get the content ^^ ~Les Miserables rules :D

Sigh its com studies lesson now and I'm utterly bored to tears. [as usual] This is so fun--its 10.35 now and half the class is not at the lab yet, even though the lessson was supposed to begin at 10.10. We should boycott a com studies lessons one of these days--that will be so fun. : )
Our school is implementing the thru-train program in 2004 and my cohort will be the first to undergo this program. In short, we are the guinea pigs. Heaven helps us if the whole scheme fails and we are left without proper O-levels certification.

Happy New Year to all!
Hopefully this year will be an interesting one...its supposed to be..except for the nasty part of the year with the streaming exams. And the new 5-day system that's going to replace the 8-day one. And more work and responsibilities. Oh well. Well at least IRS promises to be fun..its group work for me this year so there should be a lighter workload [hopefully]. Wonder what's everyone doing for IRS..I've got a friend wanting to work on the origin of swear words! :S My group's working on the idea strategy for 'Survivor' [the reality show]:)
Just looked at the textbooks for this year today. Didn't bother even opening the Chinese ones though. I've had enough of Chinese, after being made to watch/read 'Romance of the 3 kingdoms' [san1 guo2 yan3 yi4] throughout the holidays to improve the standard of my written chinese.. :P The syllabus seems ok, except the one for home economics. And according to the science textbook, it seems that we will be learning about male and female erm.....anatomy pretty soon. [blushes]

Sigh currently getting not-so-desirable 'reviews' about the blog design. Must say I quite expected those..[hangs head in shame] Well me trying to fix some stuff that screwed up so hopefully the page can be less of an eyesore in a while. In the meantime, avoid this blog if you don't want to chalk up medical expenses by overstraining your eyes.
Now RGS is completely changing the whole school system. The 8 day cycle will be replaced by a 5-day one and apparently we have to stay back once a week until 3pm. House practices will be on saturdays..so what will become of GB? If it gets moved to a weekday it will clash with my choir practices..OH NO Anyway Xin Hui's blog has more info on this.
I really don't see whats the use of the whole cycle system idea if we don't adhere to it entirely--we still have CCA meetings based on the normal Monday-Friday week and not the day of the cycle.

Whoa. Finally got my blog running after so long. I got the whole idea about having a blog long ago but never got along to making it..not having the neccesary programs to make a layout is little more than a lame excuse..its just that I have a HTML disability and its severe.
As anyone can see, my blog is NOT completely done yet..theres stuff to be fixed and the right column is kind of -blank- at the moment. And I'm not really happy with my own layout..too plain and it looks like a cheap copy from Amanda's previous blog. *apologises to Amanda* But at least I like my own theme :D I love the nightsky [complete with stars], especially after seeing 'Starry night', which happens to b the beautiful pic at the top of this page, in case you haven't noticed. And it doesn't hurt that one of my favourite songs in Les Miz is 'Stars' *grins*
I am completely obsessed with Les Miz...may be going on a Les Miz lyrics posting spree soon..
Think I first saw 'Starry night' and heard 'Vincent' in P6 when my english teacher was using them to teach us something...possibly description skils in compositions [shudders]'Starry starry night' was painted by Vincent van Gogh, who took his life when he became depressed and 'Vincent' is a song about him..
'Vincent'(Starry starry night)
Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and gray
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and daffodils
Catch the breeze and winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand
For they could not love you
But still your love was true
And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You took your life as lovers often do
But I could have told you Vincent
This world was never meant for one as
beautiful as you
Starry, starry night
Portraits hung in empty halls
Frameless heads on nameless walls
With eyes that watch the world and can't forget
Like the strangers that you've met
The ragged men in ragged clothes
The silver thorn of bloody rose
Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow
Now I think I know
What you tried to say to me
How you suffered for your sanity
How you tried to set them free
They did not listen they're not listening still
Perhaps they never will...
